These shots were taken in February, about a month ago.
It's very lightweight (no ballast... yet!)
It floats right where it should and will have proper trim when it's ready to sail.
We'll be back now, with more photos and updates. The ship is acquiring detail work
I never dreamed of. The captain is doing the most fantastic work. --Nancy

the ship is BEAUTIFUL! such detail, that i'm sure is tedious work. it truly is a work of art. thanks for sharing the pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh WOW - that is just SO lovely and the Captain is SO skilled at building ships like this. I saw some larger scale models of ships in the Maritime Museum at Swansea last weekend, but nothing as good as this. The attention to detail is amazing. Jennie xxx

I appreciate the comments and hope to meet all you nice people someday. (I'm a man of few words).
ReplyDeleteCaptain Ron
I can't wait to see it rigged with full sails!
ReplyDeleteRon that is an amazing boat you built. I didn't know you were so tallented. How is the boat held together? Is it only glued or are there some sort of fastener used. Will you be able to sail the boat remotely in an pond or lake?
